The story began in 1896, when Matthew Gloag created a blend of malt and grain whiskies named after Scotland’s national bird, the grouse. It quickly gained popularity and later became known as The Famous Grouse.

Matured in a combination of Spanish oak sherry casks, American oak casks and ex-bourbon barrels, it develops notes of dried fruit, caramel and vanilla, creating a rich yet approachable character.
